Overview of the Process:
We offer a variety of options to suit your shopping preference. You may select from Cinnamon Kiss Paper Studio’s most popular designs in our online store for a simple solution that’s both quick and convenient. Or, if you have a highly specialized idea in mind, feel free to make an appointment with our designers to develop a custom piece just for you. Ensure that you plan ahead when making your appointment, development & production time typically takes six to eight weeks and appointment times tend to fill quickly during wedding season.
After you have placed your order, a mock-up will be developed based on the consultation and submitted to you for review and comment. We must receive your final sign-off on the mock-up prior to production of the final order. This step is essential to confirming any last minute changes and ensures that you are nothing less than delighted with the final product.
If you have changes, we ask that you submit them in writing (via fax, email or in-person) and confirm that your change request has been received. Once we receive the change request, a revised proof will be sent to you at not additional cost. However, any changes beyond this point (final sign off of mock-up) will be billed at $25 each, plus additional costs incurred for reprints. Please proofread carefully as Cinnamon Kiss Paper Studio is not responsible for unmarked errors.
When ordering invitations, ideally they should be mailed 6-8 weeks in advance of your wedding day. It is common protocol to give guests at least 3-4 weeks notice to respond to your invitation thus making any necessary arrangements. (Even more time is required for destination weddings). If you are running behind on ordering and/or sending invitations, set the RSVP date closer to the wedding in order to give guests sufficient time to send their reply. As a helpful side note...it is best to add 10-15% additional units to your invitation order to allow for addressing errors and changes in the guest list. This will help to alleviate rush orders or risk out-of-stock materials at a later date.
Once produced, your order will be inspected by our designers and production staff to ensure that it meets our strict quality standards prior to shipment. All orders will be charged at the time of sale.
The design of your custom order is guaranteed to please you. If you are not completely satisfied, we will make revisions based on your specific guidelines at no extra charge (not including reprints). REvisions must be requested within 21 days and do not include changes made in the original design after concept/mock-up is approved. Any changes to the project after approval of final mock-up will be billed in an itemized fashion. Typical change order billing will accrue at a rate of $65 per hour. Please note, due to the custom nature of our products, custom items/materials cannot be returned once purchased. Part of the charm of a hand-crafted item rests in the slight variations which reveal human touch and love that went into its creation and serve to enhance its customized feeling.
Cinnamon Kiss Paper Studio reserves the right to use production overages from your order as sample material in our marketing materials and magazine articles. The utmost care and discretion is taken regarding addresses, dates and/or personal information in the display os sample pieces and will only be considered after the event date has passed.
Can I order a sample?
Absolutely! Most of the invitations and specialty items can be ordered from our website. We will customize a sample upon your request to match your event’s colors or logo requirements. The cost for a custom sample is $75 which is posted towards your final order.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Designs selected from our online store typically ship within 5-7 business days. Anticipate 4 - 8 weeks on custom orders depending on the size, complexity of the job and material availability.
Are the invitations ready to send when I receive them?
Our items come fully printed and assembled. Most items simply require postage and addressing. Coordinating labels are also available for an additional fee. Please contact us for details.
What shipping methods are available?
Proofs and mock-ups will be sent via USPS Priority Mail. Products and final orders will be shipped via FedEx Standard and 2-day or 3-day delivery. When planning your order, be sure to consider holidays, weekends and weather-related delays. Once your order ships, you will receive email confirmation including the FedEx tracking number so that you can track your package and make necessary arrangements for signature upon delivery.

Is there a minimum order on invitations and personalized products?
Although we do our best to accommodate our customers unique needs, at this time we do require a minimum order of 50 units for online orders. For custom orders, there is no minimum quantity. However, we do require a minimum $125 charge for design time.
Are you available for an in-person consultation?
Yes, we are located in the quaint town of Homewood, IL just outside of the bustling Chicago city limits.
What’s included in your newsletter and how often is it sent?
Our newsletter is sent one to two times per month and includes new projects, special promotions, stationery trends and upcoming products.
What types of payment do you accept and is Sales Tax charged?
At this time, we accept payment via fax, PayPal and via our online shopping cart which includes Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Our studio is located in Illinois and we are thus required by law to collect sales tax for order shipped within the state. Orders shipped outside of Illinois will be exempt from applicable sales tax.
